I'm new to 240's, and Nissans in general. I'm looking at buying a '92 240sx fastback, and i'm gonna wanna install some stuff (intake, headers, etc.) once I get it. The problem is, I don't know the engine or chassis codes, what parts are compatible with this model, if all the models for this generation (89-94) will accept parts advertised for the 240sx, and some other useful info. If anyone can help me, I'd appreciate it; I don't want to be stuck with a car that I can't find mods for.

for reference, the car is a base model 1992 240sx, automatic, I believe it is the fastback, but that's another thing I'm not sure about.

Engine = KA24DE (89'-90' models are KA24E)
Chassis = S13 89-94' S14 95'-98'

Intakes and Headers and such are chassis specific I believe, most sites that you would order from would specify which it is ment for. Aftermarket parts are redially available for both chassis (s14's have more turbo kit options it seems) Also remember 89'-90' models do not have dual over head cams (notice the D missing from the engine code)

There are lots of mods for a '92 240. The engine code is KA24DE. You don't seem to know anything about this car in general. If I were you, I would research and learn more about it before modifying it.
