Set rules on parking this time around. AKA, you need to be hard parked if you're with the group of cars (for picture taking's sake!) If you don't want your license plate on the internet, remove it or cover it when you get there!

TEASER: I'll share the design for the stickers with you guys. Yes, the "club" is kind of meant as a fun joke more than anything. We're "Hella NorCal" and we're not well known for our car scenes. I figured a play on "clubs," "hella," "NorCal" and "BBQ's" was in order, as well as a very simple picture to represent what we stand for. This is what I came up with. It will be a "cut vinyl" so only the colored portion is the sticker (in this case, white). It will be offered in White, Black, Red and Pink. There will be a limited run this time (unless I get blown up about them!), so make sure you guys give me feedback and get them while they're here! After this run is gone, I'll do a Version 2 style!

Just a quick update for you guys, Kait called all over the place at Rusch Park, and all the spaces are reserved for the 31'st. There will most likely be a venue change coming up pretty soon, I'll keep you guys updated!

The stickers are for SURE a go! The design was sent to Andrew Bohan (thanks again, man!), will be around a 4"x4" cut vinyl. There will be a LIMITED AMOUNT available this time around, and the next time I get them cut, it will be a different design. Show how OG you are, and jump on these while I have them! They will be available in black, white, red and pink!

Last but not least, wash your car at LEAST the day before, if not the day of! We only had one 240sx that was kinda dirty last time (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE, YOU WHITE S13 OWNER!! lol!), and I'll try to make a trophy for cleanest car there (as well as a few other fun trophies that we can all vote on!) to make things interesting!

Small word of warning: this neighborhood is connected with a police station. Any bad decisions as far as driving is concerned will be heard by the cops.

For those that are unaware, it takes a decent amount of money to reserve one of these spots in any Sacramento area park. Please, if you guys can spare anything, any donations will go toward this meet and the next. Any extra will go toward food/drink for future meets as well. Donations will be accepted via Paypal or at the meet.

I'll give an update on the vinyls, too. The last of the colors were finally recieved at Lab17, so we're just waiting for them to get cut and sent to me. Should be here in plenty of time for the meet.

I'll see you guys there! If anybody local needs a ride, let me know and we'll make it happen! Keep your fingers crossed that Kelly's 4-door will be there this time. We're still sweating on it!

Plenty of shade, there are a few BBQ pits under the sweet awning we get to use, and plenty of tables for mingling and the like. Parking is right near the picnic area, and there's enough of it for a good spread. We will probably still dominate the parking lot, so get there early for good parking and sweet picture love making.

Start getting giddy, reach arounds and fame for donators.

She'll be driving, no sense in not supporting the cause by wasting gas to get your picture taken with the cool crowd.

I'll post some pictures of the stickers when I get them in, for those interested. All proceeds go toward funding more epic adventures for the crew, and you get a cool, limited edition BBQ Crew decal to show how amazingly amazing you truly are!

Prices will start at $10 which is a STEAL OF A DEAL for some Lab17-supported, Hella NorCal BBQ Crew vinyl. The white sticker will look almost exactly like what you see in white. I'll post pictures of the real deals when I get them in. They should be here probably Monday. Only 20 were made, and this design will not be reused. About 5 are already spoken for, so as a rough estimate, we have about 15 left.

I'm already working on designing the second run, so make sure you show how OG you are with the BBQ Crew before it's too late!

Haha! Thanks for the compliment. It was fun designing something after such a long time! I've been doodling for years and never put anything into effect except a high school friend's album cover. The whole thing looks somewhat cartoon-y, which is perfect for what I'm going for.

Hella NorCal BBQ Crew is just kind of a fun thing. Nothing serious, I think (especially in this beautiful weather!) that BBQ's are fun, and working on cars is fun, and meeting people with like interests is fun too!

Again, money donated for our cause (no matter how small) will be put toward future BBQ meets. Money made from sticker purchases will again be put toward future meets and sticker designs. If these sell well, I'll get MORE next time, and the price will go down because bigger orders require less money.

That being said, BUY UP MY STICKERS SO I CAN MAKES MORE AND SELL THEM CHEAPER!!

Drinks (I'm bringing a few ice chests full of ice, I might bring a small case of water to start us off!) - We'll need soda and waters NO BOOZE
Food (I'm bringing dogs/burgers to get us started) - We'll need more burgers for sure, it sounds like a fair amount of hot dogs are being brought-ed
-Buns, we'll need a small amount to start, it sounds like there will be plenty coming
-Condiments, ketchup, mustard, mayo, relish (if you RELISH IT!! (see what I did there?!))
-Cookies/brownies/sweets... BRANG THEMZ!!

Other than that, misc stuff like napkins and plates (paper towels serve as both... right?!), name tags and markers for those interested, money TO BUY MY STICKERS WITH, a good attitude, smile and a quick introduction to me...

Also, we need a GOOD CAMERA for the meet! Need this ish documented properly. Spend some time cruising the lot and get some shots!

The meet wasn't as big as last time, but having everyone set up on the tables in one area was way more fun. Carlos said it first, but I think we all felt the same that this was a way more family-style event. I have 36 pictures, says my photbucket, and they're still uploading, so I'll talk more.

The stickers did awesome today, I got rid of all but one, but that one is spoken for and will be gone tonight or tomorrow. I'll be excited to show you guys the new design I'm working on, though I did give some hints at the meet on what it'll look like. I'll post them up in the new thread.

I'll be making more of the next run, and I'll do repeats of the versions from v.2 on, but if you got one of the 20 O.G. stickers, you're a god among men! Maybe not that awesome, but still fairly awesome. I'm excited to see them cruising around Hella NorCal.

Mike with the red hatch and silver meshies painted it for me in his backyard. We used $.96 a can wallmart flat black 22 cans and popped them and drained them into a 2 liter bottle and then from there into his paint gun. =]

the whole problem is almost ANY park parking lot has speed-bumps because of the fact it's at a park... and kids playing... etc.. ((only if it's a larger parking lot)). the next park we're looking into i think has one. but it's a bigger name park with a really....really nice picnic area. electrical hook ups, so you kn ow what that means? music :D

Kaseberg IS a nice park, I've been there once before. I'll give them a ring and see what's up. This time, I'll for sure be driving out there to scope the parking lots and if need be, I'll bring some wood with me so we don't have as bad an issue.

The next meet should be a lot larger, so Rusch park MIGHT be the way we go. Next week, I'm going to make a few calls and see what I can find out about a big reservation. I'm thinking that working out a deal on reserving a parking lot might be in order, as I'm going to extend invitations to a FEW more people... Haha, a few...

Saturday, I'm meeting with a local Sacramento VW club that has organized meets every week. I'm also talking to one of the higher-ups in an AE86 group. I'm thinking getting some nice cars out there might show a good turnout, too. You know... get those rich assholes to bring the toys out of their 12 car garages for the second time during the year!!
