I was wanting an updated look on my s14 zenki tails. I want a cheap alternative to new ones so I think im going to paint them. Does anyone have a picture of zenki tails blacked out around the lights, kinda like koukis. Would you recommend smoking them or painting around the lights?

There's a product called "night shades". Def check that out. I can't stand painted tails, but smoked...i can tolerate (when done well). Sorry I don't have any pics. But i'm sure if you search "smoked tails" or something you'll get some ideas. GL.
--if you want a real "updated" look, look into the LED S14 tails. I've seen them in person, ver nice indeed :) .

well my problem is im very picky on things I put on my car. Just bought some brand new clear corners and can not stand them with the stock headlights. They look too ricey. What brand and color are the ones you have seen?

as much as I'm not a fan of painted taillights, I was considering this:

i have an idea that i havent seen yet, but i dont know how well it will turn out. I thought about making it look similar to the koukis, by blacking all the trimmings and just leaving all the red areas..similar to the ones above but not just leaving the reverse lights but also the red area around it even though it has no use. Doing this to both side lights as well.. Just a thought..
did a quick paint of what i was taking about:

Kouki LED Tails: Ebay has them as well.
Dlauth (http://zilvia.net/f/members/dlauth.html): As far as the front corners go, I just went with the stockers and added some orange bulbs for a nice and legal transition color. I have seen many people use model paint and paint the inside of the lense orange too. I like the look of the stockers, which is why it's nice to light up orange only at night.
I did have PIAA hyper white (or something) to match my PIAA headlights...but for $35 a pair it wasn't realistic.
If you decide you want to go clear corners you could try the clear headlight covers Final Konexion makes. I've seen a few people with that set-up and Projectors fabbed into the housing.
searchy search sir :) It's all over this forum.

THe LED's are pretty nice IMO. But you did a great job in clearing yours :). I feel like a good plastic polish and a nice buffer would get some shiny lights as well ?
