I had the chance to buy a '96 SE, 5speed with all the goodies through the dealer I used to work at for 1500 bucks. They only paid the customer 1200 for it.

Absolutely. Keep it in a garage and keep the miles low. This will be worth something one day, plus you can always take it out and enjoy the clean ride. Take it to some local car shows.

soreballz, stop being an idiot. a 510 was never much of anything worth collecting, and now some of these datsuns are. it doesnt matter if its mass produced or not, what matters is how many are left on the road and in a valuable condition worthy of buying. if the demand is there, its worth it.


with that said, an odometer reading is pretty important... but overall condition is more important. i can vouch hand-down for mel's car as i saw it up-close and personal, and its in pretty immaculate shape.. and im talking undercarriage and everything.

personally, i think the car should be driven not stored. cars that are stored just dont make sense, unless we're talking about a car like a mclaren f1 with a high maintenance fee in terms of run-time. some cars are just too expensive to drive.

we'll see what pans out for mister melvin, will he mod it.. and if so, what parts will he chose? :-) haha i've already given him the best advice, chose the right parts. and good choice in buying my R32 GTR seats... cant go wrong with those!
