hey guys quick question, i have a 240sx and i wanted to know what type of piping i needed that passes specfications for drag. and i also wanted to know if it is the same type of piping for any car because my friend has a sc300 and he wants me to weld him one. thanks for your help

dont use pipe. use tube. DOM will do.

Check out the sanctioning bodies that your buddy will be running. If he is running more than one go with the most stringent rules.
Almost all will require DOM tubing, you will need to know the weight of the car so you can figure out the size and wall thickness of the DOM you need.
Somthing else to keep in mind is your friend is trusting you with his life by letting you fab his cage. You must be very confident in your skills before you take on this project. I am not doubting your skill since I do not know you, I am just saying you cannot doubt yourself.
I only mentioned this because you are asking some pretty basic questions about fabracation of a unit designed to keep someone from getting hurt or killed.
