Hello everyone,

I just wanted to verify my thoughts on a current problem I have.

Facts:
S13 Blacktop SR
Runs
Cylinder pressure is good

So my problem started when I noticed coolant leaking out around my cat delete upon initial start up/clean out runs. Then after leaving it over night, I came back to notice the container I was catching water in, now had oil in it.

So my question is and my current thought is: I have a blown turbo?

The engine had tons of carbon build up in numerous places, notably the cam squirters were plugged which cause abnormal cam wear. This would make me think the same crap was gumming up the turbo oil passages. The turbo had a bunch of oil residue in the compressor housing, which could have be blow by? The shaft play on the turbo seems minimal, but I am no turbo expert. O yeah, and there is white, smoke rolling out the tail pipe, probably from the water in the pipe.

Thanks for the help!

Anyone? Just looking for a second opinion - A "yeah, your on the right track" would work.

Not sure how bad turbo seals would cause a water leak....didn't think you could leak water from the turbo.

there isnt a gasket or seal for the coolant in a turbo its a passagway molded into the casting of the turbo.

so the water isnt from your turbo. Condensation maybe.

but do a leak down a compression test on the engine
