and the kouki tail light i got. http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j239/bakabusu2/DSC00381.jpg

as u can see in the right, the kouki tail light doesnt have that hole but it does have teh outline for teh hole.....
the bulb from zenki wants to go into that kouki but the hole hasnt been gapped or whatever yet....

anyone know what i should do or how to take that little gap off to make that hole?

My tail lights have a hole there....that's odd. It looks like some sort of tape or something in your picture, obviously it isn't or you wouldn't have made a thread.

I'd suggest getting a drill bit/hole saw near that size and just trim up/dremel the edges to have some indentations like the zenki light has.

thats a Japanese light. They had that sidemarker light blocked off.

The USA lights all have it open and useable.

The J lights.... nope.

end of thread.

JDM cars don't have sidemarker lights in the rear. You can cut it out if you want, but why? You don't *need* them.

if your life will end without this light problem "fixed". you can simply take a dremel and cut it out.

dont use a dremel, use a very sharp utility knife.

dremel will cause debri to enter the light

and yes, its a j-spec light.. they dont have a rear side-marker provision/requirement

The kouki lights I just bought have no hole either. Cool cool. I was actually wondering about this the other day too.

thats because you morons are buying J-spec lights... buy the US-spec lights and you'll have side-markers.

personally, i prefer more light.. and i prefer the US-spec lights for that exact reason.

I don't really like the marker, but I figure run it if it's there. I put an LED type bulb in mine because it's a hassle to change them. With an LED I'm hoping the need to pull the gasket and replace the bulb won't be so frequently anymore.

This whole thread reminded me of my Kouki S14. When i had it, both side markers were burnt out. It wasnt till 4 yrs later after I bought the car that somebody pointed out to me that my lights are out. I didnt even know they had bulbs...
