CEL and Smog -CA

If i have a cel but yet my car still runs fine, and if i find a cool smog tech does the reading (computers) show that the CEL is on and fail me?
I have a knock sensor (motor mounts) and leaky injector but need a smog within the next 2-3 days. dont tell me to just fix the problem, i have no time right now.

I won't tell you to fix the problem. You can get your car smogged by someone even with the check engine light on.

They will tell you that your car (if it can) would pass but you have to fix that light, some places may reset the ecu for you while you're getting your smog test but if that light comes on because of smog equipment and not something else then you're SOL.

You then can get an extension I believe from the dmv or what not to allow you to fix the problem granting you one of those red stickers.

dude did u kno they charge like 50bux for the permit extension now and u HAVE to get ur car smogged and bring in the papers stating that it failed to get the extension...wtfff is goin on CA?!usual you just pay for the registration and just ask 4 an extention permit to drive..

my car's CEL came on during the test but the guy was cool so he was going let it go but i still failed from a dirty egr!! :bash:

There are no more red stickers.. I went about a month ago to get one, and they said they arent doing that anymore...

go to a ref and if it fails there they give u the extension for free idk thats what happened to me
