I'm just getting around to selling my Ohlins coil overs since the new replacements cam in a few months ago.

http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i70/SicBastard/SDC10136-1.jpg

They are currently listed on e-bay with an end date of May 1st. I would only be willing to end the auction early for some one here on zilvia for what I payed for them $650 shipped anywhere in the upper 48. Otherwise the reserve is set low at $100. Price is so low because these need some work. If you want the hole sordid story check out my LS7 powered S14 build thread here on zilvia.

from ebay:

These have some of the largest diameter pistons available, and with their inverted monotube design are the ultimate in damping technology. This auction is for a set of Ohlins coilovers that I bought used from a Canadian importer, to rebuild, for my '98 LS7-swapped S14 240sx. I sent them to Ohlins USA for a rebuild, but they had trouble getting one apart, and were taking too damn long. So I purchased a new set to replace them, and here they are for sale. These require a rebuild at a minimum, so I don't reccomend them to anyone who can't do it themselves or has "a guy". They come with everything pictured. They retail on a new set is $3149, and I've never seen them new for less than $3000. These are top of the line, like penske, moton, etc., anything else is not even in the same league, on the same planet, as far as performance is concerned. Below is a picture of the shock dynos from the replacement set. The digressive damping available from these is unreal! These are infinitely rebuildable with ohlins parts, which many suspension race shops carry. And if you want to own what ever niche of motorsports you're into, these are what you need.

Side note: The fronts may work on the s13 chassis, and the rears may also work on r32-r34 skylines.

Regarding Shipping: These are awkward and will probably have to be shipped in two seperate boxes, thus the shipping price.

For Ohlins Service: I've heard good things about Performance Shock in Sonoma, CA

I posted that links to ebay are not permitted, because someone was asking the OP to post the ebay link.

It's not bent, it's probably just the picture. Or they still might be loose from when Ohlins USA was working on them.

The buy it now price is $550 plus $100 shipping = $650 total shipped anywhere in the lower 48. Same here as on Ebay.

I never posted a link to ebay because I respect the forums rules. But, I don't think you're going to get too many hits to scroll through when you bother to go to ebay motors and search "240sx ohlins".

...Actually I just checked. You only get one result.

Did you read the thread at all? I guess not.

They are from his S14 build, but he got new ones because these need to be rebuilt and it was taking too long.

Answer your question?

Sick coilovers, well really, the sickest coilovers you can get for an s-chassis.

Ever since riding my first Ducati Equipped with Ohlins, so did I! The miata guys swear by them, claiming outrageous improvements in traction coming out of the turn, not mention the improvement in transient response. If you look carefully at the Roerhig shock dynos that are posted in my build thread you'll notice that most of the adjustment takes place in the <4 m/s range. Which is perfect for dialing in transient response (the way the car feels to the driver/loose vs. twitchy). My new stock replacements came from Ohlins with 8/6 springs. I'm going to try those out first, rather than just switching them out before testing.

Reserve is met on ebay, and the auction ends tomarrow on May-01-09 13:54:26 PDT. So tomarrow these will be going to some one. I'm having sellers remorse already.

Thoes are some old schoolers, don't know the model but they did make a few for the S-chassie.

PCV and DFV were the most recent

And if ya want the Beez-kneezz, Some tuning shops modify the S-chassie PCV's to run the premier Flag series valves w/ custom spring rates. Since they never offered the Flag series for S-chassie

just a little Ohlins info ;)

GLWS!

Thanx Paul!

These have the PCV valving as do my new replacements. The DFV is interchangeable, but the only difference is a slightly sharper knee at the low to high speed knee point.

I picked a set a while ago here
(seller's pic, I only have cell phone blurry ones)
they need to be overhauled though

they're probably the main reason I still have an S13 collecting dust on backyard.

JGrand,

Do you mind sharing what exactly performance shock did for you and how much it cost? Why the revalve?
