Some shop that hosted the pics never picks up their phone so I want to find their source.

cxracing is down the street from me and I will ask what rb-performance orders.

I will now explain, look closely at the first one

see where the IC piping goes in and out?and the way the flat tubes go horizontally clear to the other side back out? This is a legitimate IC


Now for the second one:

This is an ok design but still not as efficient as the first, the flat tubes are vertical. air is going to take the quickest route to the outlet. therefore the air on the right side of this IC will be hotter than the air on the left side of it. This maks it inefficient because it doesn't cool properly as the first does.

Which brings on to the third, which IMO is an EFIC (Epic Fail IC)

See how the inlet and outlet are connected, there's no apparent divider (blue) between the two. Air is just going to flow from one to the other. making this one even more inefficient than the last one. air on the right is even hotter than the second IC. AND air on the left stays even colder than the second IC.

Unless one of you can prove me wrong and that there is in fact that divider on the inside of that 3rd one, then I'll say go with the last one and shut my mouth.

That looks like one hell of a bad ic design... going in the i/c up a narrow path then back through the i/c.... correct me if I am blind here.

I don't think any are that great of an idea, the first was ok, 2nd and 3rd posted need melted down and recycled.

This one would have to travel from the bottom inlet, all the way to the left and then back all the way to the outlet on the right. The air is traveling twice the length than the normal ones, which in theory might help cool it better. but the flow is a bit more hindered because of all the bender than having to do a 180 and go back the other way.

I'd want a normal one, simple and won't have to fight for both pipes on one side. for the RB in the pic, it makes sense, but for a standard SR or something then just a normal one.

is "awkard" regardless of the setup

only way to achieve a normal setup is to buy a greddy/freddy/isis intake but that only works with rb25, rb20 is FIZZUCKED.

My bro did that setup on his RB20 long ago, this is very common, a lot better than using that other ic.
