speaking of cops

I was on the 10 west this afternoon and some jackass almost merged into me, i had this brand new black tahoe/ suburban in front of me, and i notice that the guy who almost hit me was in an unmarket cop car, but then he went to pass me, and gave me a dirty look, was in a suit, and he had the flashing blue and light bar in the back, but no CA exempt tags, just regular cali plates.... he then cut me off and got right behind that tahoe, and was right up on that guys ass. i thought he was in a hurry and when i got a chance to pass i did, and they were all cops, some sort of weird escort or something, 1 crown vic, and two brand new tahoes all had california plates, and gun racks,
it has been bothering the crap out of me, could it be secret service or ?

As for who they are we'll probably never know, but it's not uncommon for police vehicles to have non-exempt plates.
