hey folks i need some help let me know if you have any insight for me

okay well when im driving and try to put it in 2nd gear it grinds and i double clutch it and it goes in.
-so my assumption is clutch is bad, but its a new clutch with under 30miles on it
-second gear syncro is bad but me not being a professional mechanic i dont know wut im looking at when i break open a trans. i understand a lil by lil and learn hands on.
-another thing is i just changed my gear oil cuz i just put my trans back in the car so i used castrol oil full synthetic that i picked up at advance auto parts by my house good for gl 3-4-and5 applications.

my plan for tryn to solve it is drain the oil and change it to redline mt90
and if that doesnt work i was going to listen to ppl on here

another problem im having is when im downshifting when im approaching a redlight my car will not go into 1st gear when i am going faster then 10mphs
-ne input would be awesome

if u read all of this thanks and please let me know wut u think

It does sound like the synchro's are bad. But one other thing is why would you want to down shift into first, that is a big no no in my book. thats pretty normal.

It's not an SR specific problem, that same transmission is used in a ton of Nissan cars. As with any gearbox, the synchros are the wear item and the first to go, since you don't know the history of the unit it's probable the synchros are indeed worn badly and will continue to wear, no matter what fluid you run. I prefer to not use Redline fluids, a lot of people swear by them but I've never had good experiences, the shit is damn expensive, and even brand new it smells like old fuck.

^ GM sycromesh. I know Its for a GM but it works great in the nissan trannies. We put a new tranny ina friends sr and he but reg. tranny fluid and it was a little rough so about two weeks later we drained the fluild and put that in and it helped big time.

gm synchromesh is the wrong oil to use. give it a year or so and watch all your hard work pour out in shavings and pieces.
