hey guys so right now my car has been through some changes. i have taken off all the rust spots and dents it had. i replaced a door, fender and i repainted it black. after that i bought a coilover kit and some front and rear strut bars and a cold air intake. also upgraded my rear axles which i should be done with tonight. now i was wondering what you guys think i should work on the most? should i continue working on the suspension or should i get a metal head gasket get a t3/t04 turbo and run 10pounds of boost then build up the engine and suspension later on. any advice or something im missing please help thank you.

Well there is more to it than just slapping a metal gasket and turbo on your car... You also have to think of the intercooler setup you will have... make sure you have proper vacuum lines... also think about if your engine is "young" enough to run boost to it... you have to think of the exhaust system... downpiping, elbows, your gunna be using a new intake... i think you have a great start on the car! You have the possibility to put an SR in it or do you want KA-T? I personally love my SR... It can be a lot more overwhelming to start a project like that, cus you forget all the stuff you have to get to make that turbo work... and work properly and efficient... thats why a lot of people buy premade turbo kits. Do a little research on what all it takes to turbo a KA... if you have any questions about an SR swap just let me know... But just make sure you know what your getting into with trying to turbo your car...

o sry my friend has a tanabe exhaust system in his house becuase he went rb on me lol. the enigne i have now has 140,000 miles. but this guy i met on craigslist sold me his ka with 120k for 100 bucks its kind of hard to believe so i plan on rebuilding that engine with the parts i listed above. im thinking its going to be about 3,500 more or less for that rebuild. and as far as the vacumm lines thats something i would have 2 look into becuase im not to fimilar with them, and most likely vemon fuel injectors.so with all that said how much would a sr20det run me, i would be doing the swap myself and there is a master nissan tech i know so he would be tuning my car either way i go ka or sr. so again any help and advice and info is greatly apperciated. thanks

Well my swap was kind of expensive... i did mine over a course of like 2 years lol... here and there but it got done... (i lost my intake and had to buy a new one stuff like that, or having to buy another harness cus the co. i bought from 'cut' it from the car and cut the harness in the wrong spot) but its relatively cheap if you can make stuff yourself... I would suggest buying an entire swap package... it should consist of the engine itself, sr tranny, igniter chip, and harness... the most difficult thing about the swap i would say would hve to be converting the harness... just take ur time and its first crank for sure... i suggest looking for reputable companies close to your area... i ordered mine directly from japan and it had to go through U.S. customs and it was a pain tryin to deal with someone who doesnt speak very good english... depending on if you run a front mount or side mount... will depict where u cut ur intercooler piping whole, or if you need to buy a smaller battery (i just relocated mine to the trunk) Roughly the package should be around 2300... then couple hundred for the plenty of trips to your advance auto parts or napa, or autozone... you WILL make... so say 2500 rougly... and thats if your have the intercooler/piping and exhaust... besides that it is cheap... if you tune it right u can push 280ish whp...
