okay so I replaced my HG and my did the timing belt on my ca18det, i go to crank it and she just cranks, I go to check the timing and the new belt is toast, the teeth are just destroyed for the most part, I have someone crank the car so i can look at the cams and they aren't moving but u can see the crank pulley, sprocket, w/e is spinning, anyone have a clue what I fucked up? btw the Timing was dead on and i torqued the camshafts down to spec

Dude, as a practice, you should always spin the rotating assembly manually, meaning with a wrench on the crank bolt, before you start the car the first time after a major repair/install. You've obviously bound something in the head, pull the valve cover and take a look.

i did spin it, about 4 time over and i didn't have any crazy resistance, i can move the cams gears by hand

you didnt hear any detonation did you?? may have bent a valve or 2.. its not in time anymore if the crank is spinning and the cams arent moving...thats what the belt is for to keep it in time..have fun with that
