To get a tune for close to $300.00 on a ka...? I mean, I've been doing some research and I just can't seem to find a way to do it other than soldering my own ecu (gotta admit. kinda scraed to do that cause I might mess it up) or buying a jwt for like 600.00? Or getting a emance...cause I almost got an emance and then realized how fishy it was...I'm kinda lost lol... tune for close to 300.00 possible???

Yea, but I just can't find anyone with the right software. Also, I forgot to mention its a sohc. Lol so I guess that's why its so hard to get it done? Idk...

you can get a tunable ecu for about 400...but the tune itself you're gonna wanna go to an actual tuner with a dyno.

are you trying to pull as much power as you can from the SOHC? If so, I'm sorry to disappoint. They really don't make too much power at all, unless you're planning on fully building em. SCCA KAE status.

No, I'm looking for a fun but reliable streetable car. And I would rather not get into what my motor is capable of. Besides. The last s13 chassis car I raced had a dual cam motor in it and the same mods as me and I won repeatedly lol. So as far as I'm concerned its enough power to make me happy. I'm not trying to build the most powerful sohc or anything lol as for tuning. (The actual topic) I just want a tune to balance my afr so I don't blow my motor. I'm sure I could get it chipped, but does anyone know of any software?

Get nistune that's real time running software...but for 300 don't think your gonna find a real trust worthy source of ecu tunes.

i was thinking about calum consult for the board and emulator and then using nistune to tune it in real time as i have a buddy that can tune it for me. but im just a little confused about how calum consult works. like how to order it. plus i heard that it wont work on a sohc ka for the 240sx. only for the ka24e in a stanza? lol is it possible to put a dohc ecu in my sohc and just use more widely branded products? is that even possible? lol gahhh this is why i never took computer scienceII in highschool! ~.~

Whoops, I didn't realize EFI only did DOHC. You will need a SOHC specific ecu, I *think* the DOHC is a 16 bit ECU and the SOHC is an 8 bit ECU.
And Futurama is the shizz.

if you were thinking of getting a calium board and using nistune to tune it, why not just get the nistune board for the ecu you have and tune it with nistune? It will also add consult to your ecu via a usb cable.
