It's probably listed for that much so no one buys it. I'm sure they don't feel like making one.

Man, I'm going to email Alex(Courtesy Nissan webmaster) and ask about this. I'm curious if it's typo or not.

I still have it in my car... rockin it til this day! Didnt know it was that much!
Also I noticed some parts went up in price. For example the Nismo Slave used to be only about $150, and now its like $190.
I'm sure that lot of the prices that went up did so because of the strong Yen (for at least the parts that they have to order from Japan if they don't have it in the warehouses in North America).

seats are indeed one of the most expensive parts of the car, as well as engine.

I can see the engine/trans being expensive. But damn, that much a cd-player, or even a seat!?!?

Someone lied. And the whole door assembly, with all parts included, is double that easily.

The CD deck price is NOT a typo. OEM audio electronics really are that expensive. Always have been. The OEM amplifiers are about $700 for the pair. Of course no on ever buys one, but that doesn't change the price. Back in the '90s we had a customer with an Acura Legend with the BOSE system who's amp went out, we priced him out with an Alpine installed for under $400, he refused and said he had to have the BOSE. Acura charged him nearly $3000, they had several in stock. We then charged him $200 to put it in. Figure the guy's a moron, why not take advantage of it?
Front seats can't even be ordered as a single part, you have to buy all the pieces separately and assemble them, rails, cushions, recliner, etc., a full set of leather seats through the dealer is near $12k.

Alright, Courtesy Nissan gave me a confirmation saying that it's not a mistake. Yes, you have to pay that much for the s14 CD player. You gotta pay to play.

Ha yea, my car got broken into and the window needed to be replaced. When I took it in for the estimate, they thought my old beat up dash was damaged during the theft. The $1300 or whatever it is from the factory would have totaled my car when included with the window and head unit damage.
Thank god I have a clean mint dash sitting in my house.
