Walbro Fuel pump with stock strainer ?

Anybody had some issues with the stock strainer on the walbro fuel pump ?

The guy at walbro want to sell me the walbro with strailer because he's telling me it'll run like crap.

If by "stock" you mean the one that was on the old pump, it's not a good idea. Think of it as changing your oil but reusing the filter. If that's not the case and you are using a new strainer i don't see why there would be any problems.

a new walbro should come with a new strainer anyway

Ok. thank you. I'll check that info because I got two different price quote and I suspect one is not coming with.
