is freaking my shit out. it's been like five years since a game made me jump, the last one being Doom 3. went to Gamestop planning to buy Mirror's Edge, but i think this was a way better buy, $35 used

i know it's been out for a while, anybody else play through it? i searched and didn't find a thread or anything. no spoilers please, i just entered a debris field or some shit, chapter four i think.

neither of these really convey the constant edge of your seat experience or the top notch writing. it's like playing Alien. or Aliens. but not Alien 3 or Resurrection because those are gay.
..and it REALLY feels like Alien, because everything is gothic and looks like HR Geiger designed it.

Good game, didn't get too far. Was playing it at my friend's house on the hard setting on my very first time playing. lol. That was a blast.

I beat the entire game. I believe there is only one part of the game that actually startled me. Other than that, the game just puts you under suspense. Maybe a spoiler, but it's not that scary.

This is kind of self contradictory, but if the game play wasn't so great, then the game would have sucked because the missions themselves require to do the same shit over and over. All I have to say is, once you get to the last part of the game, pay VERY close attention or you'll miss the point of the ending and you'll end up saying "wtf" to yourself, like I did.

Bioshock by far the best game ever made. Can't wait for the second one to come out.

bioshock was basically a dumbed down system shock 2 with better graphics and a 1950's underwater setting.

rumor has it dead space was supposed to be system shock 3 but they couldn't get the rights to it, so they ended up taking it in a different direction. for that reason alone i've been interested in playing it.

SS2 hands down, best FPS/RPG ever. I may install that and play it again right now. Get my friend to play and LAN. :)

resurrection is good for the lulz. spoiler, when the alien/human hybrid gets sucked through a hole in a window, it's super funny.
Alien and Aliens are just balls-out awesome movies, though. i've seen both at midnight shows more than once

so i'm on like chapter six now and this game shouldn't be creeping me out as much as it does, but i'm playing it at 3am with the lights off and the bass up, and i'm really getting sucked into the storytelling, because it's rad. my ex bitch keeps popping up on screens telling me to "make us whole again". for some reason i think she might not be ok.

I don't play a lot of video games anymore but I just happened to rent this one after seeing a preview for it on some game show.

I should see about buying a copy from amazon in the States just so I don't have to put up with the horrible German dub.

just beat it, ending was awesome. final boss was way too easy on medium. thought the way things played out with the characters was pretty great. the last scare got me and two of my buddies watching. awesome

i only have a 37", but with the lights off and sound up and nobody else around, it keeps you on edge for a while. towards the end it gets repetitive and drags a bit, but when shit goes down in the last 30 minutes of game, it's intense and awesome. everybody gets their shit fucked up

F.E.A.R. series was good IMO. most would say it wasnt by today's standards but when it came out it was the shit. Mirror's Edge IMO blew total ass. got extremely old after the first 20 minutes. graphically it was fresh but thats where it ended. game play was super annoying and boring. would not reccomend.
