I bought a "turbo kit" for my SR awhile back that came with a JWT ECU (on the ECU it states its a 63 with a JWT sticker stating 50# injs and Z32 maf).
Recently I swapped the turbo from an S15 to a GT2871r .64. For some reason my car seems to be much more hesitant in accelerating. I would boost normally (about 15psi now - before 17psi tops on the S15 ) but my car feels much slower. I understand the difference in the two turbos, but I would assume that 71r doesn't carry thaat much lag over the S15.
I guess my question is, do I need to get a retune since I changed my turbo? I thought that the ECU would compensate for the changes in air volume from the new turbo?
