Drift Intermediate Course 1, 2

Note: *All drivers and passengers need helmets. Driving suits/gloves are not needed.
*Registration starts at 8:00AM, for number, Waiver Form sign and vehicle safety
inspection.
*No Food/Drink Services. All participants & staff are requested to bring food &
drink for their own.
*No Gas Service. All vehicles have to fill gas outside of El Toro Field.
*Tire Services. (Under Study. TBI)
*Tire Pre-Sales. (Under Study. TBI)
*No Trash Can. Keep the event location clean and take all garbage and cigarette
buds back home .

Drift Courses and Gymkhana course will be managed by staff, but Grip Free
Courses are prepared for 5 minutes free driving for each driver by turns.

D1 UNDERGROUND Event: This event is practice event, not competition. However, sanctioned by D1 UNDERGROUND organizer, Driven Event, Daijiro will select maximum 4 drivers as D1 Pro Qualification drivers who can skip D1 Driver Search, and run at D1 Pro qualifying event.

Number of Drivers: Drift Driving: 30-40 drivers
Grip Driving: 30-40 drivers
Total: Max 80 drivers

Entry Fee: Drift Driving (& Grip Driving): $120 per Driver
Grip Driving Only: $80 per Driver
Payment must be by check, credit card or Paypal before Apr. 29.

Registration Form: Forms will be sent by e-mail to applicants to be filled and send back to
D’s Club Inc., by e-mail or by fax before Apr.29. Posts will be filled by
first come first served basis up to above maximum number of drivers.

Event is set up for all skill levels.
There will be multiple courses, we have the whole el toro field :)
You can burn up as much tire as you want, it's all about how you're driving, but to be safe you should bring 2 good tires to drive home on at the end of the day
Just drive normal to and from the event and you shouldn't have a problem, cops are cops:ghey:

Just to add my .02 cents, I've been to el toro for drift day novice comp last year. If you plan on driving your car hard(for drifting) I would suggest at least 2 good pairs if your using used tires. El toro is rougher than willow springs since the road is not exactly made for track. I don't know how you guys will lay out the course but this is a good place to practice high speed drifts(3rd and 4th gear) since its pretty open and there is a lot of road availabe. I'm going to try to go to this event, hopefully if funds are enough.

You can pretty must do almost any kind of set up at el toro. I've about 10 different layouts there and I've only been there twice. 3rd gear and 4th gear entries are awesome here. Bring plent of tires is what I recommend!

nope, this event has nothing to do with federal, this time..
you don't need federals, nor will you get in for free with federals. :)

drifting is 120, and you have an option to play with the grip guys if you want.

el toro is pretty bad on tires but all you have to do is drop your tire pressure and they should last long. I manage to keep a pair of 205/50/16 tires all day at 25psi... but then again i have a stock KA. An yes, el toro is still fun with a stock KA, A/C running while the radio is blasting... You just need alot of runway to connect a two runway sweeper...

yes I loved this track, but it eats tires !!!! , begining I was kind of shy and then finally out of no where I just went faster and faster, more and more smoke.. Daijiro saw and wanted aride along lol 80-90mph drifts& manjis and I made Daijiro Inada have a heart attack lol

This event definitely improved my driving !! I shat bricks at first lol that couldnt had been me driving, so hard to believe , it had to been some weird crazy adrenaline.. damn Il never forget this day, first time high speed drifting, giving Daijiro Inada a ride along then poping the tires in reverse angle without spinning and making him shit bricks and he said I was crazy and gave thumbs up I think this is the best event I ever had!!! :) :)

The big sweeper on the big course was awesome but I was completly lost before it, after the first two turns but, that was probably just my Newbe-ness getting the best of me.

Favorite was drifting the Grip course, nice 3rd gear sweepers.

Loved the fact that everything was structured yet very open to do what ever you wanted.

Ride alongs were no issue, Open advice from seasoned Vet's everywhere on tap,

It was awesome!

and YES, I would defently go again next month, and would bring more friends! :rawk: :rawk:

I would like to see more run way, maybe top of 5th as an option for those who wish to do it.

Other than that, it was a great layout. A bit hard to see it with cones at first.

Yes due to the underpower KA, we kinda created our own course. We skipped every manji cones on the first half of the course, we accelerated straight down the straightaway till top of 3rd or 4th gear(thats how long is takes to get up to 90mph, lol), then did a high speed drift through the right sweeper in the end, then manji in the back straight at 3rd gear, that way the left rear tire will only last 5 runs MAX in my KA.

im ka to and find that its more challenging to do the course layout that they had with a underpowered car. you have to take the right line have to know where to slow down but try to pick your momentum back up. we were doing 4th gear initiations there with driftday last month and i found this layout more fun and challenging.
