so my girlfriend recently picked up a super clean 91 es250 for 300 bucks. I was wondering when it comes to interchangeability how similar is this to the camry? I was thinking about dumping it and putting some 17x9s on it and stuff.

300 bucks? Good lord, thats a sweet deal...

Its the same damn thing as a Camry, basically. Almost all the parts are interchangeable, well, engine wise, at least. Interior bits are more lux, but you can probably still use the Camry parts there, too.

I can't say for sure if the struts are the same as the Camry, but I can say the the ES250s I've driven are ALWAYS more "smooth" than the Camrys of the same year.

As far as I know, the only real differences between the ES and the Camry would be that they ES uses slightly different headlights, taillights, and has a nicer, more comfortable interior. I wouldn't be surprised if the ES has more sound deadening material than the Camry.

It's the same thing as a Second generation (V20; 1986–1991) Camry. Really only the front and rear body cladding is different.
