Just FYI for some of you on SR and emissions.
Here in Ohio we have to do rolling dyno emissions testing. The car is monitored @ 25 mph for a couple of minutes. Here's the stats on my test.
HC : 14.9 ppm Limit : 132 ppm
CO : 0.00 % Limit : 0.73 %
these numbers are better than most street cars.

What did ya have to do emission tests for? I live in Ohio too and I have never had to do one.

I live in Montgomery county. There are about 8 counties in OH that require it, mostly around Dayton, Cleveland and Columbus.

Ah well that explains it. I live in Washington County.
I dunno if my sr would pass it I dont have a cat on it plus the tuning is still a little off. So good thing I live where I live.

Very nice. Did they measure NOx numbers too? I'm curious since it seems there's either no EGR provision or most people cap it off.

Lucky.
I have no doubts that my car would pass sniffer. Its the visual inspection that kills you in California.

Cuyahoga county and a few others require E-checks. Luckily all they do is the sniffer test

wow, didn't know there were so many ohio residents here, in columbus there is no e-check, there is in cincy though.i've also seen the e-check station in cleveland.i don't think any of them do visuals, if they do they don't know what to look for.

They don't do visual inspections in CLeveland(Cuyahoga) or anywhere else as far as i know.
There is a whole lot of people from ohio on here. Meet we must.

Only visual is to verify a cat is on the car, and that the gas cap can hold pressure.
A meet would be cool, I never realized there were so many OH members.
AKADriver: no NOx numbers here, only HC, CO, and CO2 are monitored.

How many test facility personnel know the differences in appearance between the engine bays of s-chassis? Show someone a properly installed SR that is not a 240 NUT and they will not know what they are looking for. If the dude DOES catch it, its cause he is resonable versed in the S-chassis most likely, and you offer to get him some hookups if he forgets about what he saw.:D

I live in Virginia and I have Ohio tags (being in the millitary has it's benefits) just for the simple fact that I don't have to get it emissions tested.
I am from Cols OH by the way. OSU alum and damn proud....GO BUCKS
