ok, i understand the concept behind the CAE, n i have a pretty good idea of where the filter would sit, but haven't seen it in person or in a pic. just basically wondering if u have to clean n re-oil ur air filter more w/ the CAE attached. nebody have ne pics of the set up? thanks.

Here is a great site with pictures and instructions on how to install the Injen, I used it when I did mine.

with the cae, the filter will likely get dirty faster just because its 18 inches lower than without the cae.

i still wouldnt see n e reason to clean it before 30,000 miles which is half the time before cleaning a standard filter

thanks, it doesn't seem like there will be a drastic difference in cleaning it out, i'll just keep an eye on it when i get it.

Don't the filters cost some $30 if even that much? And doesn't the CAE come with something to prevent so much dirt entering the filter itself?

i believe w/ injen, there is an optional heat/splash guard that u can put around the filter to help it out. i have a k&n reusable air filter though that i can just clean out instead of having to go n replace it completely, which is why i was mainly wondering if the CAE would wear ur filter out a lot quicker, doesn't seem like it though.
