Buy a frame rail mount cooler for an automatic, mount it low on the rail or the core support, run hoses in/out. Not much info required other than that.

Someone mentioned that the plate type coolers tend to strain the pump, is this true? Or should I just go with the typical 2 / 4 pass cooler? Also, should I eliminate the oem cooler line that passes under the motor?

Remove the OE cooling line, that's the point of using a cooler, to bypass it. I'm using one like this on my car: Hayden Transmission Cooler with standard installation kit Makco Transmission Parts (http://www.makcotransmissionparts.com/OC-1401.html)
I bought mine from Summit Racing but their site is slow as balls and wouldn't load. It's a frame rail mount, long, slim piece. I have it attached to the engine undertray with a vent cut into it for airflow.
