can this be locked up already. This is probably either A) go nowhere. or B) just turn into a flame war.

If you have to ask that question, the you should have nothing to do with turbocharging a car. PERIOD!!!

If you still don't get it. DO NOT BUY THE EBAY TURBO KIT. IT IS NOT WORTH IT. Side note - no one wants to hear the story about your friend who has been running one on his civic hatch for 1 year with no problems. We don't care about justifications on cheap ebay bought "performance" parts.

its better to source your own turbo kit.. it takes time and stalking forums..but at least it is something you want and not some unreliable parts that you will regret buying.. stuff like intercooler, intercooler piping, downpipe, gaskets and flanges are good and cheap off of ebay...other than that you should source it out.. might even come out cheaper..if not then more reliable

manifold will not fit right, all the pipe will not fit and will required custom fab. you decide from there.

I... agree with all of that, except the gaskets part. The gaskets that came with my ebay manifold freaking sucked. The manifold was mint though. Moving parts are iffy, but solid pieces like intercoolers, manifolds and pipes, no problem.

i have 2 friends with civics rockin ebay turbo kits over a year each and still holding up good :keke: only see about 9lbs though. i say they are ok, but if u plan on going higher than 12ish psi i wouldnt recommend it. a lot of people get the ebay kit and use it for low boost and slowly replace peices with quality ones down the road.

This would not end pretty if allowed to live on, but I won't.
It has been said in this thread and easily searched on the forum, it is a crapshoot... Some people go for a long time without issue, some crap out before the end of their driveways. Most I know who tried them fall into the former category, but oh well. The common bond is that they all got what they paid for.
This is one of those hot button issues that causes arguments every time they come up, so I kill it now.
