A quick question, my last CD got scratched bad and I had to get a new CD to reformat my CD but can Nero make bootable CDs? I google it and directs me to Barts. What do I need to make a CD be able to be booted from startup? :tweak:Thanks.

Make a 1 to 1 copy of your windows CD.

Nero can make bootable CD's no problem.

You can use Nero to make a bootable CD, but its a bit of a pain IMO.

Here is one of the two things I do:

-Extract the contents of the CD onto a folder on my hard drive and use nLite to take that content and make an ISO that I then burn to a CD.

-Create an ISO using Ashampoo (I think you can use Nero) and burn that ISO to a CD.

I have ISO maker, so I make it into an ISO file and go to nero, click Bootable CD and burn?

if you can make an ISO, do it.

DL IMGBURN, it's free, and burn it with that.

Best burning software in town, anyone kewl uses it.

..if not, then use nero and do data cd.
like, open existing project or something like that.

I haven't touched Nero in awhile since its so bloated, so I don't know the exact option layout..but there should be an option to simply burn from ISO/NRG file. You don't have to use the "Bootable CD" option.
