So I work full time over at Indy Mac, recently One West, Bank and it has been lovely to come into work everyday and be able to check zilvia, driftworks and socal-drift as I please.

However, today I was informed that socal-drift was blocked because "social-networking/ personal sites" are now prohbitted.

And it is only a matter of time before the little green dot under my name is gray from 9am to 6pm...

The man is bringing me down, hard.

Idk the exact definition but if you search google for anonymous proxy or some thing similar,

you can type in a web address on that page and then you can go around the block they put on the computer

And it shows, I have gained 10lbs since ive been in the office (about 6 months) :(

I'm blocked from everything thats badass. I used to be able to access alot of stuff... but recently they blocked; Shopping, Entertainment, Social Networking, MySpace (yeah, it has its own category), Forums or Message Boards, Streaming Media, etc... but for some reason Zilvia is still unblocked. It kinda sucks because alot of threads lack pics since Image hosting sites are blocked... except for Tinypic for some reason...weird...

I am blocked from the usual, most social networking -- but a couple actually work (not MySpace, though) -- pr0ns/adult/sex, "tasteless," (think the greatest site in the universe), "alcohol/tobacco," "weapons" and "games."
Outside of that, unless a forum or blog identifies itself as one of those things, I can get around without issue. Helps me to not strangle this bitch in my office to death.

Damn that sucks. I would go stir crazy during down time at work, if I couldn't check the internets. I am only blocked from sites that have online games(I have a DS for that), youtube(meh can deal), ebay(sucks when an item I am bidding on ends during my shift) and myspace(could care less).

Haha seriously I think it helps in a lot of ways. I know I increase my productivity just so I can have more internet time. While the rest of the clowns are going through work in slow motion. Morons. I got shit to do, like research on what part to get, cheap used parts, how to EQ a track better, running a small forum, running a web hosting business(I love that, all most as much as taking a paid shit) etc etc. While the rest of the staff I work with is chit chatting about mindless shit of what gay ass show they watched last night.

Seriously guys try to get you shit scheduled during work, getting paid to shit can't beat it.

im SUPPOSED to be block... nothing i cant fix though... get at me to see if we can "resolve" this

i run dual screens at work.. i have both Mozilla and IE. i use Mozilla to do my work and i left the symantec site block on that so they see im still working..

my IE however is running no Proxy straight off the web.

good thing about that is whatever i do on IE, theres no history of it AT ALL. just looks like i never use it.

man that sucks. the day my company blocks any website that i go on a lot during work hours, i quit. sad but true loll. i've had 2 jobs already and both of them didn't block squat.
