I have a few questions concerning my R33 GTST Braking system.

I have read, but did not want to thread jack the following;

http://zilvia.net/f/tech-talk/233811-r33-gtr-vs-gts-brake-calipers.html

Questions;

1. Can I use, or has anyone tried to use the Front caliper adapters to use the 350z track rotors(12') with R33 GTST calipers?

240sx Brake adapters using z32 Calipers (http://www.jskinnovations.com/240sxbrakeadapter.htm)

2. Being that my 300z rear e-brake assembly will not fit on my R33 rotors;

- can I actually locate R33 rear e-brake assembly itself?
or
- since I have every thing to make the 300z rotor/rear e-brake set up work and they are near identical, should I just be content and use the 300z rear set up.
or
does the size of the R33 rear rotors really make a big difference compared to the 300z rotors?

1) if you have r33 calipers up front, run r33 rotors up front.
2) buy the R33 rear cable from Westco Nissan or Performance Nissan to make your rear setup work.

I re-edited question #1 so it is easily understandable...

(not should i use my r33 over my 300z....) thx for info tho

R33 GTS-t rear and 300zx rear should be the same.....

R33 GTS-t rear and 300zx rear should be the same.....

lol, Damn im still not clear enough, first post is regards to the FRONT Calipers:coolugh: such as the bracket posted and the "350 Track Rotors"....

so Referring to my FRONT R33 calipers, Can i use the caliper adapter to run 350 track rotors(12.75')?

which will allow me to get the 350z stock replacement rotors which are more assessable then R33 rotors.

IMO sell em and just get a set of z32 calipers. much easier + less headache. do you really need it? i ran just the fronts and i stopped damn well.

you can run the adapters on the front, but since the r33 caliper is set up to use rotors that are 16mm larger than the z32 rotors the adapters are meant to work with, the r33/adapter combo will be expecting a rotor 16mm larger than the z33 rotor. you could either find 340mm rotors or get a custom adapter made. (keep in mind, that 340mm is only one of several critical dimensions)

those are front rotors you're trying to get over the parking brake. everything i've seen (i could be wrong) is that all non-brembo opposed piston rear calipers from that era are the same. you can run the r33 rears with z32 rotors, there's no performance advantage either way.

good thing you edited that, you had it backwards.

Pretty much what ^he^ said. No, the adapter will not work with R33 calipers. And Z32 and R33 rear are the same, you have the wrong rotors.

Agreed. The Z32, R32, R33, and even J30 rear rotors are all the same. The ones you show in your picture to be rears are actually fronts from something, you can tell by the hat offset.

yeah, late night. Im cant believe I missed that. but yeah the r33 rear rotors fix the z32 ebrake assembly just fine.

but cool i'll just use my z32 fronts with the adapter.

yeah they are the r33 fronts, my bad.. late night should have noticed that i grab the wrong rotors sitting there... :) lol
thx again!

I'm using 97-01 Q45 rotors with R33 calipers:
