Attention all advancing D1 Underground drivers.

By now you should have already placed in the top 4 at any D1 Underground event and have taken care of all your D1U registration.

In addition you now have a lot of questions like "what next?!". Well I know you do because you're all starting to email me.

Here the quick of it:

First get on the actual D1 Grand Prix website and go to the "Competition" tab. A drop down menu will appear with various links about layout, format, rulebook, prize purse, etc... At the bottom of those links is one that reads "Driver Registration", this is the first step.

For all of you planning on competing in any round you have to fill out the Driver Registration form and pay your $100 pro-qualifying fee.

Next go to the "Rule Book" section and make sure your car is to spec.

Tech inspection for all pre-qualifying and pro-qualifying will take place on Thursday April 30th.

The following Friday (May 1st) will have the first half dedicated to pre-qualifying (driver's search also $100), and the second half will be for one of 30 coveted spots to advance to May 2nd's main event.

If you advance to the May 2nd main event you will pay an additional $250 to compete. FOX (part of the largest television broadcast deal in drifting history) and JDM Option will filming all the action so look your best.

Also one thing people have been asking me about is tire restrictions...THERE ARE NO TIRE RESTRICTIONS BY BRAND, you can run whoever, so burn em up!

Hit me up if you're still unclear about anything at [email protected]

All you guys need to start digging under couches and mowing a couple lawns before May 2nd...come on, it's only a $100 to qualify whether you're pre or pro and you have a chance to go head to head against the Japanese pilots.
