Im buying a 240sx 89-93 this month or next. I can't wait. Ive done a fair amount of research on the car on all the forums and I'm really excited about it. I dont plan on modding it until I buy a s-13 engine. I may do some stuff to the outside though. I'll keep you guys posted. Feel free so give me ur 240pointers plz!

s-13 engine

are you refering to the SOHC, the DOHC or are you talking about the SR20DET, which comes from japan.

2r20det...Iwould like to save up a little more and get a s-14 but I'm not sure how much it would be worth it. Also I'd REALLY like to save for a s-15 but I think you have to do some modifiing to get that to fit.

I'm sure you know this...but it's the SR20DET...not the 2R20DET :P

Let me put this politely before you get shredded apart by these dudes ;) We never got the S-15 here in america. For america the 240sx stopped in 1998. from 99- the S15 was produced. it was never introduced to america and therefor kept the SR20det engine wherever it went, maybe the sr20de too? Soooo if you did go through all the trouble and spend all the money on importign an S15 from australia/japan/wherever, it would already have an Sr20det in it, and it would be more powerful than the S13 Sr20det. so no need to swap.

I could be wrong but i think hes talking about the s15 engine and not the entire car.:D

welcome... Read, read, and read some more.. check out the archives for some random stuff..

Ask specific questions when you wanna know something. Make sure you search before asking. Not just on this board either.. Google holds many answers.

We like members how work for thier information.

Yea I did mean sr20det and yes I was talking about the engine. Am I right thinking that a S-15 swap does require some extra "work" to put into a 89-93? I do plan on reading as much as I possible can. I aslo plan on opening a performance shop locally in the near future. So this will be a nice project car. BTW, I'm looking for a 89-93 240 if anyone has any leads on one right now. All I really want is a 5sp with a pretty decent exterior and the engine can have tons of miles on it. I wanna spend about $1500 on the car itself. I've found pretty many so far.
