what do you mean a 240SX with an S13 and intercooler? S13 is a chassis code for the '89-'94 240SX; it's not an engine designation. For instance, my '92 240SX is an S13 with a KA24DE engine. '95+ has the same motor but the chassis code is S14. Neither have intercoolers b/c neither are turbocharged. I'm gonna guess your talking about an SR20DET swap from the Japanese Silvia. But you re-word the question in light of this info so we might can answer it better.:)

the sr20det are basicaly the same, s13 sr20det came from a 89-93 nissan silvia and has a red valve cover which has 205 hp. S14 sr20det came from a 94-98 silvia and has 220hp. then now the new silvia has 250hp from the sr20det. they all come with intercoolers in the silvias. to buy an sr20det, the cheapest one to get is the red top sr, cause it the oldest of allsr20det
