what up reggae fans... if there are any out there.... i was chilling with a friend of a friend... she was visiting.... no she is gone... =(.. back to the point.... she listens to some fast beat reggae.... it wasnt like really mellow... but it was cool as sheeit.... can anybody help me find some good fast beat type reggae music?

black uhuru, peter tosh, michael rose, u-roy, marley...er..i dont know the others. my old roommate was a HUGE reggae fan so that's all i'd listen to. i dont know the names just the songs hehe...good stuff. now im in the mood to listen to it on the way to work! :) :) THANKS!!

Fast beat reggae? Most likely search some top10 lists on the net, you can find some really wierd stuff.

it seems to be beginning to be a hit, heard all this stuff when I was in Zimbabwe, got used to it, I juss like the beats, can't really understand half of what they say, but beginning to like it more and more. Don't really know names though.

the faster beats are known as Dancehall. bob marley and such are not ;) I have to be in a certain mood to listen to non dancehall reggae (like Marley and such) but Sean Pauls new CD is really good.

haha MTV is trying their best to wear the video out of the new single off there.. (get busy) but man I love watchin his dancers! :D

This is thread I've been looking for... Also try Mr. Vegas, spragga benz, Beenie man like brandon said, Capleton, Sizzla, Lady Saw, Junior Kelly, Frisco Kid and... GOD I can't think of more... PM me and I will run down my list for you when I get home, I listen to Reggae and dancehall every day of my life... I will have specific album and song names available at request.

Sean Paul's first CD was better, but this one is really good too............. Try Capleton, Beanie Man, here's a good one classic for ya.....Doug E. Fresh and Beanie Man- Hands in the air..........good ol' skating rink bomb!!!!!

hell yeah... you guys are the sheeit.... thanks for clearing that up for me.... "dancehall" i dunno.. there is something about dancehall music and the beach that go really well together... but yeah..thanks everybody....:) :D

I like dancehall reggae, but I usually listen to mix CD's...so there are ALOT of artist...some times using the same beat.
The only CD's I have are from Sean Paul, Beenie Man, Mr. Vegas and Buju Banton.
Also Born Jamericans :eek:
