rear diff questions plz help

hey guys im ahead of myself wit this question as i am only starting wit this project my nissan 92 240sx ka24de hatch base model. but my question is how much horsepower can a stock limited diff on the 240 last until it goes, also was wondering about the 240s gearbox. and i not talkin about regular break down im talkin about like it cant handle that much power, thanks guys

you need not worry. I dont know where the actual cut off point but I see people run up to 500 hp without trouble.

I dont think the diff actually has trouble either, I think its the output shafts strip when the power is exceeded.

Now if your concern is the lsd itself and not the ring and pinion, hp isnt whats going to kill the lsd, its heat. Pealing out here or there isnt going to harm it but it will die fast if you do a burn out competition, drift, or do a bunch of donuts.
