The Car: S13 Hatchback
So I got a v-speed bodykit. I've managed to get sideskirts and rear bumper on. My problem is the front bumper. It would seem that there is no clearance to allow me to fit it with the bumper reinforcement. I guess my question is, how stupid would I be to just remove it and install the aftermarket bumper w/o it?

no.
A bumper reinforcement is not a bumper retainer or "bumper support" as some people call it.

like, to allow for the bumper to line up and fit the fender, the bumper reinforcement needs to be taken out. If not, the reinforcement protrudes enough to not allow the bumper to line up with the fender.

Yeah, I'm talking about the metal piece.

if you dont think youll wreck the front end, do it. im sure you wont since you got a bodykit. but then again new shoes always seem to get f***ed up fast. haha

what if you just loosing the bumper support from the four bolts, then put your bumper on, then re-tighten your support....thats what i did with my aero bumper.

If I recall the bolts didn't allow for much play. But if they do, I'll give it a shot.

i would try that before completely taking it off. i have an aero and a FMIC with my support, no problems at all.

I had to cut the lower part of my bumper support. I know people that have cut off the entire support and I would definitely agree with everyone here saying that is a bad option.

My s14 NEVER had a front reinforcement. I drove it everyday for a few years.
It didn't have a rear either for a while....

just cut the bottom lip of the bumper support to fit the FM.
