Would this be the sending unit? When I fill my tank, it doesn't go all the way up only about 3/4's of the way and when I hit E it will go back up about an 1/4th of an inch then go back down then go back up an 1/8 of an inch. Ive been riding around with a fuel can because I want to see how long It'll ride like this. I filled it up and it was just under half tank and hit E around 90-100 miles city driving (96 zenki slushbox). Its still on E and im now @ 133 miles. But yea, would you say the sending unit? Its around $200 so I'd hate to purchase it if its not that though I dont see what else would cause this.

Thanks

I'd pull it to make sure it hasn't fallen off the bracket, they do that. The S14 unit slips on to a bracket in the tank and severe driving or impact can knock it loose. If it hasn't, find a used one, they rarely go bad.

Makes sense. I don't have the Nissan..something to release the fuel pressure, is removing the fuse and cranking the the engine till it dies necessary?

Thanks.
