So I was at work, and chp was doing something over there, so when they were done I was asking them if they always drive the same car and can take it him. I told them if I was them I would take my squad car home and pull the motor and install a cam and some other goodies, and they started talkin to me about cars. Then I asked them about my car, about why they pop hoods and what people get tickets for. I told them that I bought the car and I want to make sure what is under the hood is legal and if they can check it out without giving me a ticket, and they said sure. So I popped my hood, and the first thing they said was my cone air filter is illegal, that I should put the stock airbox back on, then they asked about my shiny metal piping, my hot and cold pipe, said it would be good if they were black cause they will fly under the radar if they blend into the engine bay, one cop asked why I had two intake pipes, and the other cop said one goes from the turbo to the intercooler and the other goes from the turbo to the throttle body. But they did not say anything about the turbo being illegal, nor the engine,The other thing was colored vaccuum lines raise eyebrows, and adjustable gears that are on the front of the engine are also illegal, so keep your stuff looking stock, and build it looking legal, Oh yeah and one thing they look for to profile you is your fart can muffler, body kit, wheels sticking out beyond fenders, and of course people doing stupid shit. Keep it looking stock, but build in internally

most of that is common knowledge and common sense but interesting nonetheless. And next time put some paragraphs if you want people to read all that shit

so what you're saying is that if you're afraid of cops, keep your car stock? interesting revelations.

This isn't anything new at all. Sleeper builds have long been known to be best suited for anyone who plans to daily their cars in a cop infested area.
