If you are talking about the venom 400 do not and I repeat do not buy it. I had one in my 90 240sx and it was completely junk, it doesn't make your car faster it just makes it run like junk, it took me 2 months of fighting with them just to take it back. In my opinion I say its a waste of money, but if you want your car to buck and drive like crap then get it and waste you money.

That's why I think it matters what car it goes on. This giy\\guy put it on a n/a viper and it gave him a considerable power gain. I do not think it works well on our cars.

So its useless straight to the point...

Not useless... and it also depends what other mods you've got. If you're running a turbo setup with a lot of fuel flowing, you're going to need that extra spark to run at peak efficiency.

I wouldn't suggest buying it. First of all, they promise the whoel 28% gain on an automatic only. Five-speeds only get about 15% and not even all five-speeds. I would suggest just getting a JWT ECU, they remap your air/fuel ratio anyway, you won't need a controller, and you can use this ECU for plenty of other JWT upgrades later on. Just my $.02

i've heard it worsens your throttle response when it's on, and not racing. i just couldn't spend all that money on something i couldn't use all the time.

Even for racing, since it doesn't affect anything the ECU does at WOT, how can it be good?
I don't understand who they expect to buy these things if it doesn't affect your MAX horsepower...

Oooh, is this an FMU? Shoot, I thought we were talking about an ignition system here. Umm... oops, sorry all.

well, venom tells you... you leave it off when your not racing... when you want to race with the venom 400... your turn off your engine and you turn it on... then you restart the car then you are ready to run.. then when your done you turn off the car and turn it off. driving then turning it on messes up your car... it doesnt do anything when its off.

<span style='font-size:11pt;line-height:100%'>But again, it doesn't make your car <span style='color:red'>faster</span>, so what </span><span style='font-family:impact'>the ####</span><span style='font-size:11pt;line-height:100%'> good is it?</span>

It's supposed to give you 15% hp gain,so it makes it faster: only when you wanna race. Well, I'm a street racer: I don't have time to turn my car on and off every time I see an import that I wanna f[bleep] up. So, the shzinit sucks!!!

Just buy a JWT ecu and don't waste your money on a piggy back ecu controller that makes vague suggestions to the ecu signals in a attempt to make more power. A JWT ecu is designed using the stock ecu (not a piggy back controller) is designed around the mods that you have done, and alters the fuel maps to as perfect as they can get them.
Cliff Notes: BUY A JWT ECU NOT A VENOM!!!!

And AMEN to that! (P.S. I'm not at all religious. In any sense.)

S13Grl, sorry to beat this dead horse, but that 15% hp gain isn't at wide-open throttle (in fact, they claim no effect whatsoever at WOT), so how much faster will that make your car?
None. Not at all. If your car makes more HP at part-throttle, who cares?

well, i wouldn't mind havin' a little more power when not under full throttle, but #### not for 3-400 bucks! my sister's ex-boyfriend always talked about getting one of those, he used to praise them....he's also the guy that says his friend's IceMan CAI gave his CRX 80 horsepower with his exhaust system and Venom400
