Hello all.

I just bought a CNC staging brake, and now someone told me don't use it.
I am on a slight budget, and don't want to find out why the hard way.

So if anyone can chime in about experiences with these brakes, and also any other brand of hydraulic hand brake.

Also does ABS have an effect on the performance of the brake?

Sometimes when I use cable e-brake I like to tap the foot brake, what effect does this have on pressure? does it feel the same???

CNC staging brake- I have heard good things, and bad things. I'm not crazy about the aluminum bracket, but seems sturdy.

Powered by Max- I've only seen it on the S15 in that demo video. Looks real good. Wilwood cylinder.

K-Sport- looks like crappy

D2- looks bad too.

vehicle- S13 hatch

I know you have it, but you haven't used it yet. I need input from people who have abused it on the track.

I'll be hitting you up when I install regardless. I also need your help with my tachometer. ttyl

for shizzle! the only reason why i purchased the cnc one was due to good feedback! mine is plumed in already, and locks the rear wheels with ease!

People say don't use it because a typical s13 handbrake setup works fine. If you need some more bite go for a z32 rear drum setup.

To the guys that used the CNC, did you have any issues with the caliper getting stuck after you let off the handle? and was it the staging brake or hand brake with reservoir?

The inline style master cylinder will give you weird feedback if your on the foot brake and on the hydro hand brake at the same time . but its not that bad .
I'm working on modifying alum. z32 rear uprights with a secondary caliper for true feedback free hydro hand brake. My CNC friend needs to hurry up! I'll have 2 z32 rear calipers soon!!

I have a CNC and I love it. Never have problems with it. And the bracket is pretty sturdy.

I had the CNC staging brake for 1 event, didnt work well, sold it. Cant ebrake and front brake at the same time. Build quality on it was excellent, price is right, just didnt like the operation of it.

there are 2 ways to make it work perfectly.

1: remote res w/ seperate set of calipers (expensive, difficult, baller)

2: or install a bypass valve or "Shuttle Valve". like this-

The research i've done tells me the best setup would be a willwood pedal setup mounted in-line like the CNC but it has the bypass valve in it. hottness.

where do you get that "shuttle valve" from?

the site the picture is linked from is in Norway... I think.

Would a proportioning valve do the same thing? If so, install before the hand brake or after?

I think before, but really have no clue.
