Quick exhaust question...

Hey everyone i got a 3" exhaust system that came off my friends SR 240sx s13. It has no header so what is the largest diameter header i can buy for my KA24DE s13 so i can make it work? just give me facts not BS that i'm stupid and should do research. i tried and got tired of it and its just easyier if some says "so and so type is biggest and is your best option"

Why don't you just find a header with a 3" outlet?

because no damm website will just give me the specs on the piping size for the headers... all BS like its got a larger diameter for more performace... and that helps me know how? i just want someone to just give me the name of one and exact specs like 4-1 hotshot are 3"'s or something like that or 4-2-1 megans are 2.5. not a single site has just given me that.just format it like this "BRAND i think are your best option because they are DIAMETER and are 4-2-1 OR 4-1 and are ussually COST. i would go for these if i were you. Here is a link to them POST LINK" i went through like google search for like 10 pages and got tired of it. just looking for someone to say. so and so type of header is the one you want because it is a 3" and its 4-1 or whatever. lots of sites will give you the 4-2-1 info but none just wanna say diameter. i found one site that told me a megan header was 1.5???? thats kinda like a WTF moment. so dont tell me to search ok? i did maybe i just got on the wrong sites. but please just format it the way in quotes above. if not.... dont respond.

There is no header I know of that is a 3" collector for the 240SX...all are smaller.

I got the OBX/Hotshot clone and while it fit my 3" cat fine there was some very minor leaking due to the header flange beening both slotted and narrow.

I had and exhaust shop weld on a new flange that fits the rest of my system perfectly.

The cheap ebay header i have has a 2.5" collector and fits my 3" resonated test pipe fine.

I dont know of any 3" headers for the KA, so you'll probably have to hope it fits or get a new flange put on.

Why do you care about the outlet on a header when the Cat/Test pipe is between them? As long as the pipe in front is the same size or smaller you are fine. 2.5" header into a 3" exhaust is fine...

i dont really care i just wanted to see if anyone knew of one so it'd be an easy straight fit. but i guess i'll just run with the 2.5-3. ok by me. recomendations? megan, hotshot, hooker,etc....

hotshot is out of business and I didn't know hooker made a header for us.

I'd search for header. I have an OBX which was a Hotshot clone....DC Sports has one too. There is a pacesetter I believe and another by an independent shop.
