Help me out...I put an S14 SR20 into my 95 240sx, the motor was in a 97 240sx, i didnt change anything on the main harness except for the wiper plug and wiper relay thing lol, other than that im using the lower harness and there is a plug that isnt on the SR main harness. I tried to start it tonight and the motor cranked but i have NO dash lights, the fuel pump does not come on the interior lights dont come on either and neither do the corner lights...can anyone help me out...? if at all possible is someone who knows srs good that lives close to Coventry ct maybe you could come by and help...ill supply pizza and beer...

bad battery.. The f3 pinout for 95 and 97 harness is almost the same.
Make sure you plugged in the F3 plug (large white plug) under the dash

ill have to check my grounds in the morning, that could be, do i need to ground the ecu to, or does that ground through the circuit in the harness?

The ECU should be grounded through the harness..Check a FSM and find out where the ground is/should be

ok, i have the FSM on my laptop ill check that out, its so weird though that the dash lights dont come on, even the oil pressure sender warning light wont show up...its like nothing in the cabin works...are all srs this hard to get running lol

ECU is grounded through harness.
Check your fuses make sure they are the right size and good.
Dash lights might be a seperate issue from what your main issue is. Read here for more info. (http://www.nicoclub.com/articles.php?id=158162)
If fuel pump is not priming the system check your EGI Pump and EGI relays. In the fuse box under the hood next to the battery tray.
Are you sure the motor ran and had no electrical issues in the other car. Could be the whole harness is messed up from the previous owner. In which case it will be a lot harder to track down.
Let us know what you find.

ok, so here is what the day brought, i figured out the problem with the dash lights, i didnt have a plastic washer on the Alternator cable so once i hooked the batter i Blew the FL100A fuse in the box, changed that and the lights came back on, and the battery wasnt fully charged so the relay was buzzing, but now the fuel pump wont come on when i turn the key to the on position... What could cause that, i checked the fuse and its fine.

we checked and no power is going to the ecu nor the fuel pump...i pluged the SAFC in and it doesnt turn on with the key in the on position...does the ecu control the priming of the fuel pump with key on?

Yes. Its timed. When the ECU doesnt sense a crank signal, it shuts off.
YOu should have a relay/fuse.
Since theres no power at the pump, is there power at the fuse/relay?

which one is the fuel pump or ecu relay, becuase i see the fuses for them and there fine. i just cant figure out which relays do what... and i dont get why there is absolutly no power to the ecu

or at least i think there is no power, the safc doesnt come on when the key is turned to the on position...
