after dropping off wheels to fogleroller and getting the brakes from grant tonight (monday) i am driving backhome. its about 12:30 am. i am near san clemente..er..no farther north i guess. anyways the freeway has lots up long ups and downs (rolling hill type) and as i come over one of them, some long round roll shaped thing is blocking 2.5 lanes.

DAMN. i hit it, run right over it (i moved to right and got only 1/2 my car to run it by switching lanes fast). anyways, i hear a grinding as i drove.

so i get off next exit and jump out of car, and exam. the guy said (i stopped at gas station) "its your air damn". ****. i dont have anything t ocut it off. the lip went on friday!!! 89/90 SE lip! ARGH. anyways the gas station attendant was cool and snipped it off for me.

since it was zipped tied on it ripped 5 of the zip ties out, and tore up the holes too, so now i gotta redrill new holes this weekend .oh well. i took pics of my car today eariler and i'll post them later.

just want to say..

i assume what i hit was a cardboard roll. no tire damage, no damage. i'll have to inspect the car again tomorrow moring (hoping no oil pan damage)

Tell me about it, I was on the 14N exiting and Blam! a full wheel on exit lane like 1/2 a second before me.. i try to dodge it but it clips my bumper + bounces off my passanger door (going about 80)

I was so ****ed I pulled right over on the freeway (it was late). I had just installed my new suspension the night before... turns out If i was 2 inches higher it would have hit my wheels and prob done damage..... with the drop it didnt get under... only light black marks on bumper. hehe

Always when you LEASE expect it

yeah it is. so this weekend or next i'm going to paint it flat black. clean it up. drill holes in my bumper and lip so it will attach better as well. also going to use my heavy duty zip ties. that sucker wont be going anywhere hahaha..

took forever to get one, cant let it slip away.

all i did to mount it before was matched up the stock holes in the bumper for se lips w/ the holes in the 89/90 lip. my friend danny said used like 10 zipties. i think i used like 5 or 6, but i did it with car on ground (not jacked up) and my car is pretty darn low. if i jacked it up im sure i could have found more holes to mate up.

next time im going all out. new holes and heavy duty zip ties.

ill post some pics tonight if i can. took a bunch of my car yesterday w/ the longchamp xr4s on :)

I was driving up the 110 a couple months ago(january?) when i moved up here in glendale and i saw 2 wheels off a cargo truck 18-wheeler thing in the middle of the road... and creamed escort... and then the truck that was missing the wheels with an axle on the ground... took me a good 2 hours from west chester to get to glendale >_<

and my car bounces or rattles on the I5 is that normal!?

(im from hawaii i dont know what those 18-wheeled behemoths are called... not many truckers because the damn island only takes about 2 hours to get around)

When i get back to the mainland from visiting the folks and hanging with all my friends i tend to find myself saying things like:
"Da one time I been stay take one showah..."
"You like go eats?"
"Da kine."
"Bum bye."
"Puka."
"Mahalo" and "Aloha".

My mom sent me a T&C Surf shirt that says:
"Almos Pau. Try Wait." (it was talking about College. Cause I hate Georgia Tech. Cali here I come!) Anyway, I was laughing SO hard when Iread it, but no one could understand why. :(
