f1 racing pressure plate and exedy pressure plate

Hi All, I recently bought a f1 racing stage 3 clutch and heard that the pressure plate is similar, if not the same as an exedy oem pressure plate - anyone know if this is true? If this is true, would it be better to just swap clutch plates and stick with the exedy oem pressure plate? I also hear the f1 racing pressure plate makes the clutch softer than oem and the catch point at a higher point - would keeping the exedy pressure plate help keep the same clutch stiffness and catch point as i have now?
