really..... just really.
remember something about this instant-fail of an idea which is next to near impossible to achieve:
when a headlight is built, it is designed to conform to the lines of the body. the gaps are rather seamless.
now, when you install said light into another vehicle, not only do you have to try to affix the light in an angle/location that is aesthetic and follows the lines of the car, but more importantly, the light needs to be affixed in the exact OE angle & height so that the light emitted is fully useful, like stock.
there is so much room for fail here, that ive never seen anyone pull off conversions that both look AND perform good. look good, sure.. but perform good... no!

But to answer the question, welcome to the internet. And 1995, when people started doing that awful shit you suggest.
I still find it amusing when people ask a question that was not only asked but answered over a decade ago.

why not break open the lenses and tint the surrounding bezel? like they do on dem honders. Then try to crack a shockwave by entering vtec.

I have seen an R33 "conversion" done on an S14...the rear end looked ...ok at best. The front just looks dumb. The headlights are crazy big in comparison. Lighting wasn't much better than stock either.
Any reason you don't like the stock ones? Just aesthetics? or, are you looking for better light output.

r33 on s14 = gay. r32 front+rear+rear wide quarter panels on a s13 coupe = sexy! :) lhd r32 ftw!

a local guy put r33 front and rear on his s14... from the tiny craigslist pics it looks decent. not something I would do, but whatever. food for thought.

there was an s14 kouki with an r34ish front bumper, it actually looked good, on this site, but i dont know where it is.
but as zenki lights go, they look way better than r33 lights.
anyways, r32 and r34 where its at!

Im a firm believer in the old saying "If it doesn't help the car go or stop faster than its a waste of money" but thats just me

modifying a car is a waste of money.
if you really want to run these lights do the conversion, entire conversion and get better wheels. will be a good waste of money, but if it will make you happier go for it

the funny thing about budget-baller projects like this, is how they always cheap out.
"lets be baller and install ***R33*** headlights on a 240SX, its baller.
if you want to do it and prove people wrong, go buy the OEM HID R33 headlights (pricey) and fit those to your car. do that and people will give you respect.
