View Full Version : wiring in s14 driver switch

Well i have a 95 s14 and i need to install another s14 driveside master switches in cause mine is broke. The problem is the plugs are diffrent and i think the s14 parts car i have had no amp also but its a 95 thats weird but is their anyway i can just rewire the plug harness into my car and use that switch. :hs:

Wrong. All 95s use the external amp, your new switch is a 96-98. You'll need the 96-98 door harness as well.

well i have the door harness i wonder if it was converted also then. i know what u stated thats why i was thrown off when the car did not have a amp and i have the title for the parts car that i picked up its a 95 shits weird

No it doesn't. All 95 models run the external amp. Period. They didn't change it until they made the 96 changes for OBD-II, optional keyless entry, and the new mirror switch.

blueshark- Does your door harness have plugs for the keyless entry and alarm disarm switches on the key cylinder? If it does, it's more than likely a 1995 harness. The alarm/keyless was a rare option on 96s and it not prewired.
