Bad seal is more likely.

yea if it was just too much fluid it would purge out the top vent tube. Do you still have that hose hooked up? if not it could be spitting out and dripping down the pass side making you think something else is wrong. check that, then clean it off, then drive around again and see where its leaking from.

i have the hose hooked up. so im pretty positive its coming pushing fluid thorugh that tube and getting it to the back of the tow hook. As far as output shaft seal go where could i get them?

Dealer or perhaps OEM-replacement parts stores.

un-bolt the side fill plug on the diff, let it sit on level surface. once its done draining out it should be to the proper fill level. It could be that if you put a shit load of fluid in there it built up too much pressure and is causing that seal to push out, maybe with the proper level it will be fine?

yeah i was thinking something along those lines. because i use to not leak fluid from there this is my old open i got it welded. Its also not leaking too much i have more coming out on the side thats pushed out the hose.

How much fluid could you possibly have put in?? Diff takes something like 1.4qts.

ACTIVANT INFORMATION (ZQS)
DIFF CAPCTY PTS 91-96 2.5 EXC LIMITED SLIP DIFF
DIFF CAPCTY PTS 91-96 3.1 LIMITED SLIP DIFF

1 pint = .5qts.

But like Ineedtires said... if the car is on level ground, just loosen the side drain plug, and let drain. If you buy new seals, PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DO NOT BUY AFTERMARKET SEALS!!!!!!!!! OEM ONLY!!!!!
