I like how you use failure in your name.
Failure as in failure to search. We have a feature on here to answer basic, remedial questions like yours. Use it.

Sand in the vag kid?
How about this, instead of searching, since it's hard for you, why not use your brain?
You know the SOHC engine has a shaft driven distributor from the oil pump, meaning the DOHC head would need heavy modification to either run the SOHC distributor, or the SOHC oil pump would need to be machined and the idler gear shimmed to drive a DOHC distributor. That alone is a major amount of work. Then, the SOHC head has a cast upper timing cover built in, the DOHC upper cover isn't even close to lining up to the SOHC lower cover. A picture of both will tell you that.
There's plenty more too but the point is this, if you have ever seen both engines you'd know they're completely different and the heads will not swap like you hope to do. And anyone with a brain could figure that out.

Prove it...
Show me ONE person who, after seeing ALL that was necessary as decribed above, actually went through with it.
Yes, I know that you bumped a dead thread to add nothing to it, but I am now telling you that we need YOU to make this thread worthwhile by substantiating you claims...
None of that "well someone I know" shit either, I am asking for links, pictures and the whole gamut or it ain't real.

Waste of time. Find a DE if you want it that badly.
