would anyone be intrested in buying a LSD from a Q45? I have been told that it will bolt right into a 240sx, however, it needs the output shafts. I will sell it for $175 +shipping, or deliver if you are within a reasonalbe distance of Baltimore. Let me know.

R230V does not fit 240sx.

Sure it does. Z32 TT run them, and we swap that into the S-chassis. But you'll need output shafts and axles.

I thought it doesnt bolt up to our driveshafts.
z32 output flange is like old s13 output flanges (5 bolt). I dont think that regards this issue

The differential housing is physically different. Z32 NA uses R200V, Z32 TT uses R230V.

if we put the R230V lsd in our cars they will run very very slow. The gearing is set up for a turbocharged 6 cyl. 300z, not a naturally aspirated 4 cyl. so i've been told. www.240sx.org has a very good article explaining why the R230 and the R200 are different in the "installs" section.

If you stuff the r230 into the r200 carrier, swap the rear cover, use the output shafts and correct axles, it will work...
I was just pointing out the bright side.
Also, it's a very slight difference in gearing, and shouldn't be THAT noticable.

I don't think you can swap the 230 into the R200 carrier. The ring gear is significantly bigger (230mm vs 200mm). I've never heard of that swap before either...in 4+yrs of being an active member of the 240SX community, and working on 240SXs. The diff is physically much bigger...as are the internals.

I really don't know for sure, as I haven't done it... just going off of what some 280Z guys have told me about in my old town.
