you know, i dont think gay people would get upset about something being called gay. i asked one of my co-workers (many of which are gay) and the one i asked said "well, it all depends how its used. if its used just to talk about something... we all get it by now, the (hood) in this case is obviously not homosexual... its just used as an expression."

so, its the same thing as gay meaning happy, the word has multiple uses. for chrissake, even gay guys should step up to the plate and say "that shit is GAAAAAAAY" but no, in this PC-world we live in everything has to be proper.

yeah, but in this "expression" it's used in the sense where it's pretty much dehumanizing no? "yay ,or gay" so gay = no, that would come off negative i believe. i really doubt gay = happy in this scenario as well. of course it all comes down to the context it's used in as well like you've said.
