Quiet exhaust for RB Motor

Im looking to get a EXTREMELY quiet non-canister exhaust for my 13.

I was wondering if anyone could throw some opinions on a exhaust you have.

I want a extremely stock looking, quiet 3" exhaust.

I really doubt there are very many pre-made quiet RB exhausts. I bet the best option would be to go custom.

I was thinking about custom, with some type of dual magnaflow 3" inlet 1.5 outlet on

each tip with some resonators and some nice bends but id rather get a aftermarket.

Megan makes these blacked out, descreet Tip looking exhausts not sure if they are 3" I am almost positive they are but worth checking out, plus megan = cheap.

well ill check them out. If its quiet on a ka it should be quiet on a RB.

NP. i never heard one to swear it's quiet but they advertise it as such. good luck

Ive had loud exhauts for a ka then when I use them on a sr they are quiet.

Im going to assume ka/rb are at the same noise level.

ill shop around, if worst comes to worst I will make a custom.

A friend of mine (CoreanSurfer on this board) has an Apexi GT-Spec (the 3.75 inch piping one), and it is quiet as fuck with his RB25.

Like, REALLY REALLY fucking quiet. Its kind of weird.

You should really try searching, its not very hard, especially as something as custom and universal as exhausts, because an exhaust is an exhaust regardless of the motor you have.

I did search 0 results that came up with a clear answer for my question...

you would of seen that I said its the chasis and that it depends on the

engine, read my title " quiet exhaust for rb ", its not quiet exhaust for "s13"

you should really try reading next time, its not very hard.

Stock GTR exhausts are quiet. Very quiet. They're 3 inch. But still sound good.


THE ONLY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SKYLINE AND S13 EXHAUST IS FOUR INCHES. All you need to do it cut out a small section of the straight piping, right after the cat, keep the flange obviously. I have one for a backup.

HKS Hi-Power is quiet and sounds amazing. Its what i run and ive never gotten any looks from cops.

^ Yes, go with the HKS Hi power Silent series with Apexi EVC. Noise level should be same as stock which is pretty quiet.

I already saw those videos, I dont want a canister exhaust as stated above.

NON CANISTER EXHAUST THAT IS EXTREMELY QUIET.

I know ka / rb are different but thats all I can compare it to since sr is alot quiet and mellow compared to a de.

the first link is OEM spec looking, thats what you need. Buy it. did you look at the other 5,698 videos of exhausts on RB's and couldnt find anything you liked.

you can't compare noise levels to NA ka's. SR's are quiet because the turbo greatly reduces the noise levels. Assuming your RB is turbo, you will have the same effect. So if the exhaust is quiet on an SR, it will be quiet on your RB.
