I installed my apexi headgasket yesterday and torqued it down to spec. The problem is that I need to take my head back off. The engine has not run since i put it on but it has been compressed. Is this type of gasket re-usable?

I'd reuse it since it hasnt expanded/heated yet. I'd also get one of those headgasket copper spray just in case.

I reused my (.8mil) Tomei MHG when I swaped 4AGE Blocks in my Levin
after being on for 3 1/2 years
held up fine

Clean it very well with some dawn dish soap, then use copper spray.
I've done this on a couple 2JZ's. They never needed to come apart because of the headgasket failing.

5 bucks says you tightened your cam cap bolts too tight lol.
same thing happened to me.
maybe you don't' need to remove the entire head, just loosen all your cam bolts, and have your girlfriend or emo friend tighten them down.

Haha I didnt tighten the cam bolts too tight. What would happen if the cam bolts were too tight?
